I Heart family day!

The Berkeley Kite Festival is going on our bucket list of things to do every summer.Although we missed Hallie, (she's been away at horse camp all week) the three of us had a blast.I had no idea you could be a professional kite flyer? They even "fly" to the music.Never have I seen so many kites flying at once.Such a gorgeous clear day with a sky covered in kites! The colors, sizes, speeds....i am hooked.Brett tried out his new kite and after a few pretty hard nose dives (the kite that is) she was flying like a trapeze artist in a cirque du soleil performance.If you look at the bottom of the picture with all of the colorful octopus kites, you can see how big they really were. The jumpy tents look like dollhouses.
